Founders Day

In March there was finally an opportunity to celebrate how much progress had been made in just over a year and a half, from initial fundraising, recruiting students and opening the college. To celebrate a wide range of supporters who had helped in a wide range of ways to achieve the college goals were invited including potters, companies and individuals.

During the day we heard from Kate Malone (Potter and College Patron), Lisa Hammond MBE (Trustee) and Kevin Millward (Course Director). Each shared their passion for the College and the importance of this development for skills, craftsmanship and studio pottery.

It was also an opportunity for people who had supported the project to meet the students, see the site and facilities and hear about the future ambitions of the College.

During the day tea was served in teapots freshly made as part of a recent project and using College Range mugs also made by students.
