PART TIME TUTOR AT CLAY COLLEGE STOKE
Clay College, now in its third year, offers a two-year Diploma course for 14 full-time students, as well as public evening classes, and Masterclasses delivered by internationally renowned potters. Our mission is to develop highly skilled, self-sufficient and diverse makers by teaching practical studio pottery techniques. By doing so, we attempt to maintain and grow the status of British studio ceramics.
We wish to appoint a part-time Tutor to teach on our Diploma course, working 21 hours over 3 days per week (exact days to be discussed).
Reporting to the College Manager, you will provide expert teaching to ensure each student reaches their full potential. You will deliver the Diploma course in conjunction with the part time Course Director, using Wednesday as the handover day.
Our ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of studio pottery practices as well as specialist knowledge in at least one area. A practicing potter, you will have a commitment to student development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to contribute towards the development of the Diploma Course.
The Salary offered is £16,800 (£28,000 FTE)
