About Elin Hughes
Originally from North Wales, Elin graduated from Cardiff School of Art and Design in 2019. Elin’s interest in wood-firing was ignited during her time as an exchange student in Sweden as well as her experiences at the Oxford University Anagama Project and the International Ceramics Research Centre in Denmark. In 2022, she received a grant from the Arts Council of Wales to undertake an 18-month apprenticeship with wood-firing potter, Simon Levin, in Illinois. She is now based at Kigbeare studios in Devon.
