About Georgie
Georgie makes wheel-thrown vessel forms from her garden studio in the beautiful Surrey Hills.
She is known for her distinctive paper resist decoration, a technique she has been developing for over 20 years.
Her emphasis being how the form and decoration complement one another. It is important for her to create a visual balance that whilst being bold and graphic also appears calm and understated too.
“I enjoy working within the constraints of this technique – I find if you narrow down your options (as there is so much you can do with clay!) the possibilities, even within that small area, become endless.”
