This Winter Block runs for 6 weeks from January 14 – February 18

6:00-9:00pm at Clay College, Middleport Pottery

Join us this Winter and keep away the January blues by learning how to hand-build functional and sculptural pots without using a potter’s wheel in this relaxed class. The class follows a series of projects delivered to the whole group, and will cover all of the making techniques needed to create pottery without using the wheel.

Taught by professional potter, Will Broughton, participants will learn how to create professional-looking pots using slab, pinching and coiling techniques. The classes are run on a project basis and will build upon the previous week’s skill base as participants gain confidence and independence.

This class is suitable for beginners and returners.

Run over 6 weeks, students will make a pot a week, learning from the results as they go. By the end of the course, students will have gained invaluable tips and tricks to create hand-built pots and take home a collection of fantastic hand-made pottery.
