Clay College Students have been back since July and are focussing on perfecting the college range that is for sale in our gallery from Wednesday 22th of July!
You support the college immensely with buying any of the mugs or bowls since we are a not-for-profit charity.
Last week we fired the gas kiln again to try out lots of different glazes and shapes, the students have been working on. Some still before the lockdown and some during or after. It was a very happy day with lots of excitement!
Kevin taught them individually about lighting the kiln and how to make sure the temperature goes up but doesn’t go over what you envisioned or everything will over fire! He also explained how to best place the pieces into the kiln and what spots are the most hot/cold and what effect that has.
