About Francis Lloyd-Jones

Francis makes quiet domestic objects made from stoneware clay that are designed to be used in daily life. Inspired by utilitarian details and historical objects, Francis seeks a balance between looseness and definition in his work. All pots are thrown on the wheel and then reduction fired with salt glaze to achieve his signature muted palette and surface textures. Francis is the resident potter at The Farmers Arms in Cumbria which is run by Grizedale Arts.
