About Lisa Hammond:
Lisa Hammond MBE is a soda glaze and shino potter who works at Maze Hill Pottery in London. She has been making pots for over 45 years in which time she has taught extensively and pioneered soda glaze and shino firings. Inspired by Mino Ware pots from Japan, Lisa raw glazes her work using slips and a pallet of single firing schedules which gives her pots their rich colour and texture. Founder and Chair of the Adopt a Potter Charitable Trust and Clay College Stoke, Lisa was awarded an MBE in 2016.
